Scuba Dive During your Whale Shark Tour

Ensuring Your Safety and the Well-being of Whale Sharks

Add a SCUBA Dive to your tour!

We are the only company on the Ningaloo Reef to offer a chance to SCUBA dive after your whale shark swim! A fun, easy dive in the shallow, protected Ningaloo lagoon around some of the amazing coral sites. Why just snorkel, when you can blow bubbles with the fish!

Do I need a dive certification?

We offer guided fun dives for any of our certified divers*. However, we also offer a Discover Scuba Dive (DSD) course for beginners. With a maximum depth of 7m, these sites offer the opportunity to experience diving on the Ningaloo in shallow, calm conditions. You’ll learn basic dive theory & practise the necessary skills to equip you for your first breaths underwater, all the while being next to our experienced instructional staff.

So whether you’ve got a logbook full of dives or you’re just starting out, we can show you the wonder down under the Ningaloo!

*Certified divers will need their dive certification for proof. Certified divers will also need to have dived in the last 12 months. If not, you can upgrade to our refresher course, to refresh your SCUBA skills with an instructor before heading off on your dive.

How do I book?

You can add a SCUBA dive as an extra when you book your whale shark through us online or over the phone. Guided fun dives are bookable on an interest basis – payment from divers will only be taken if the dive occurs after the tour. DSDs or Refresher courses are bookable in 2024 for $195 per person with a maximum of 4 participants per tour due to PADI’s standards regarding in-water ratio.

You can opt to upgrade to a dive on the day of our tour! Our dive instructors will ask for interest at the start of the day and get you set up.

Please note that even if you have booked a dive, it may not proceed given weather conditions or time constraints. If we cancel your dive, you will receive a full refund for any money paid for the dive.
